Peinemann supplies various cranes on the turnaround of Zeeland Refinery

In collaboration with Visser & Smit Hanab Industry and Mourik, Peinemann Kranen uses its Liebherr LTM 1750 and Terex Explorer 5500 to carry out maintenance work on the turnaround of Zeeland Refinery. The work includes exchanging pipe spools, revising valves, exchanging of bundles, retubing of the stoves and much more.

Our cranes were mainly used for the exchange of two process towers with a height of more than 20 meters and a weight of 30 tons. Removing the old towers and replacing the new towers was a very challenging job that required tight planning and coordination from all parties involved.

This job was not self-evident. The outbreak of the coronavirus created a great deal of uncertainty. Zeeland Refinery has opened all registers to ensure that, in addition to all safety regulations, corona regulations from RIVM could be followed. This made it possible to carrie out the work in a safe manner and while maintaining the necessary distance.
