The Abrasive Wheels course, which literally means “grinding wheels” is designed for individuals who work with grinding machines and wheels in a professional capacity. During this training, participants will delve into various topics including legal regulations concerning grinding machines and wheels, as well as the usage of tools such as angle grinders, deflashing, and grinding wheels.

The training covers the following course material:

  • Health and safety legislation and legal provisions related to the use of grinding machines and grinding wheels
  • Identification of machines utilizing grinding wheels
  • Awareness of potential hazards and risks
  • Selection and use of necessary protective equipment
  • Techniques and guidance for ensuring safety when working with grinders and grinding wheels

The training lasts for half a day (two hours), and upon completion, participants will receive an accredited certificate. To enroll in this course, participants must be at least 18 years old and proficient in either Dutch or English, both verbally and in writing. Other languages may be accommodated upon consultation. No specific prior education is necessary to participate in the course.


The cost of the Abrasive Wheels training is €265. For participants opting for training in a language other than Dutch, there is an additional fee of €50, subject to availability.
